EES entering Slovenia by Bus

Hello.

We will have been entered in EES upon our arrival in Venice.

A week later we will be taking Flixbus from Venice to Ljubljana, Slovenia.
I think I read that the only EES checkpoints are at the airport? Is this true? Q. 1 Will we have a delay entering Slovenia by bus for EES processing?

When we leave Slovenia through Ljubljana airport, will we have to have info verified/entered again/allow extra time?
We are flying from Ljubljana to Amsterdam then on to US.
Q.2 What will we have to do in terms of EES in AMS? Our layover is only 1 hour.
This is probably my biggest concern.
Please help. Thank you.

Italy, Slovenia and the Netherlands are all within the Schengen zone. You don't need deal with EES when travelling between those countries. You will go through EES and clear Passport Control in Amsterdam before your flight to the US. That will be a tight connection, so if lines are long, speak up and let the agents know you are pressed for time.

You will go thru EES at the first Schengen airport that you land at from US. I’m assuming you have a direct flight from the US to Venice or connecting thru some place like Heathrow that’s not Schengen. You will go thru EES when you exit with your flight out of Amsterdam. Look for the EES gates, they’re normally quicker than the usually long passport officer line. You slide your passport in machine, it takes your picture, thinks a bit and gate opens to pass thru. If they’re not working tell one of the agents about your connection time, there should be some directing people. Good luck, that’s a very short connection time with everyone getting use to the EES system.
