We fly out of Ljubljana at 6:30 am. Does anyone suggest we get a hotel close to the airport, or is the city close enough to get an early taxi ride?

The airport is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center. If you are staying at a hotel, they can arrange a taxi.

For our last night in Slovenia before flight home we were recommended the hotel Hiša Ančka, Šenčur , which is about 5 minutes from airport.

We stayed at Barbo Palace last September. The hotel arranged in advance for a taxi to take us to the airport. Easy and quick. The airport isn’t very big and it’s not hard to get to, even from the historic area of Ljubljana.
