Drive from Lake Bled to Postojna via the Soca and Vrsic pass. To much in one day?

Hello!
I'm looking for some feedback. This September I'll be driving from Lake Bled over the Vrsic and Soca pass to enjoy the Julian Alps. I'll probably stop at various spots to take pictures, do a small hike or two, and eat lunch and/or dinner along the way. My end goal (and hotel) is Postojana. Google maps says this drive is just over 3 1/2 hours long. Am I biting off more than I should by trying to get to Postojana in one day? I'm wondering if I should stop for the night at Kobarid or Tolmin instead.
I've never been to Slovenia before and I just don't want to feel to rushed, but also I don't want to end up in Postojana by 1pm :) I'm planning on doing the Postojna Cave and Predjama castle the next day.
Any feedback is much appreciated!

I think it all depends on if you plan to stop and see things along the way, or are looking
at this as a transportation function to get you from one place to another.

It took me about 7 hours to drive from Bled to Kobarid at a leisurely pace, stopping whenever
I felt like it to see things. I think it was about 2 hours from Kobarid to Skocjan Caves, and then
maybe another 30-45 mins to Postojna/Predjama?

So all in all, it's probably a pretty long day in your original proposition.

Thank you for your response, Shoeflyer. I definitely don't look at this leg of the trip as transportation from point A to point B. I really want to enjoy the journey, stop and take in the beauty of the Julian Alps, and not feel too rushed. I think I can make it to Postojna in one day, but I know it will be one long, memorable drive! Thanks again!
