Our 10 day trip includes Ljubljana, Piran, Vrsic Pass/Mangart Saddle, Bled, and back to Ljubljana and we are wondering if we should bring sweaters, light jackets, or will it be shorts and sneakers weather? I always try to pack as light as possible but between the mountains, sea and city it can get a bit confusing. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
According to Wikipedia, Ljubljana's average low temperature in May is 50.5 F, and the record is 32.4 F. In May 2022 there were 13 days with a low temperature below 55 F.
I wouldn't depend on averages to build a packing list. I like to refer to the actual, historical, day-by-day weather data available on the website timeanddate.com. I like to check the most recent five years' data.
I'd definitely want something in addition to shorts.
Ditto!
I always travel in late May, and even at the coast where I usually am, evenings are still cool. Think layers.
