We are planning to take our car on the motorail train from Bohinj to Most na Soci on September 11, 2025. I have read about an incident at the Most na Soci station last week that has impacted service on that route. The website says they are currently operating trains on that route with limited service due to damage to rail cars. Has anyone taken this in the last few days and if so what was the situation like as far as getting on the train? Wondering if we need to research other route options.....driving the Vrsic Pass is not a preferred option for us due to curvy mountain roads. Thanks in advance.

I’m planning to take the motorail also in September The official website Potniski.se.si states there will be five trains instead of eleven running on September 11.it looks like only two wagons will carry cars on each train, in addition to one wagon carrying pedestrians and cyclists.
Since they pre-sell reservations, I think they will not have as many spaces to sell, but if you buy your ticket in advance there should be room on the wagon for your vehicle.

thanks Kenko for your response. Does pre-buying your ticket as a passenger on a specific motorail train guarantee that your vehicle will get on the same train? Not sure what happens if we get on but there is no room for our car.

If you take your car you and your group will be required to sit in the car during the journey.
