We will be traveling to Ljublijana from Venice in mid Sept. I read on RS Guide Book updates that a new bus service provided by Nomago runs from Venice to Ljublijana. According to the website the trip take just under three hours. Has anyone used this service and, if so, what did you think of it? We are both in our early 70s, but travel a lot and use public transportation as much as possible. I have looked into the train schedule and it appears that the trips takes a few more hours and it does not arrive in Ljublijana until 8:00 at night. We would rather arrive earlier in the day so we will have more time to find our lodging. Thank you.

You might want to consider GoOpti. I used this service from Trieste to Ljubjlana but they also do Venice to Ljubjlana. So very easy to book, to use, comfortable and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. https://www.goopti.com/en/

There are earlier trains or train/bus combos, but they all take longer than a direct bus and require 1 or 2 connections.
