Probably too ambitious, but would love to make it happen if at all possible because I don't know when I'll have the chance again.
Are there any possible options to make a day trip from Budapest to Lake Bled in Slovenia?

None whatsoever, it's 600 miles r/t.
Edit: I am sorry I wrote it so bluntly, but it is simply too far. I suppose it is physically possible to drive that distance in a day and get to see the lake as part of a day trip, but what good is driving all the way to the lake and back for what will surely be remembered as a miserable experience?
Where else will you be visiting besides Budapest? Perhaps you could reshuffle your itinerary if Bled is a priority?
Lake Bled is nice, but not worth this effort. Hungary's Lake Balaton is a larger, closer resort area. But the easiest watery daytrip from Budapest is around the Danube Bend area - see both faster and slower boat excursions at www.mahartpassnave.hu/en.
