Border crossing from Kobarid to Rovinj

We will be driving from Kobarid to Rovinj and would like advice regarding the best place to cross the border into Croatia. I remember reading that Kastel is a good place for U.S. citizens to cross. Our itinerary has us crossing on a Monday in early June.

In June any crossing is fine. Only in the main season, you must be more careful, especially during weekends.
