We'll be in a rental car on a Thursday in early June (2 adults, 2 mellow teens), and wondering if anyone has recommendations on route or interesting stops (sights, food, views, etc).
We will be leaving Bled area right after doing Vintgar Gorgee hike, and are trying to decide whether to take :
- the northern highway route (A11 and A2) through Austria, or
- 201 to SS 54 route, or
- 201 to 206 (Vrsic Pass).
We've done Vrsic once before and enjoyed it, so we are not opposed to doing it again, but if the other two routes are also scenic in their own right we'd be happy to do take a different way this time. Grateful for any suggestions!
