Hello, hoping someone can advise if it is possible to do the following in a day by car. (Day being 8 to 7pmish) depart from portoroz and head to postonj, do cave tour, leave for ljubljana spend a few hours there then head for bled to see the castle and lake.
I am open to all suggestions including reshuffling the order and start and end points...

We were just there. I don't know the distance you'll be traveling to get to Postojna; but once you get there, you may have to wait for the English tour. I believe the tours start on the hour and last about an hour and a half. It takes less than an hour to get to Ljubljana from there, but not a lot less. The drive to Bled should be less than an hour, maybe 45 minutes?. I, personally, wouldn't try to pack that much into a day, but I'm pretty sure it's doable.

Bled Castle is open 8:00 - 20:00 in high season, so I think you do have a good shot at visiting on your arrival evening or the next morning. Will you stay more than one night at Bled? Will this be your only chance to go into Ljubljana, i.e., not dropping off the car there later?
