Best of Adriatic tour - swimming opportunities?

Hi all - leaving in a few days for the above tour. Are there opportunities to go swimming based on the itinerary and free time? Just wondering if it is really worth it to bring swimsuit and water shoes. Weather looks to be cooling off as well. Thanks

It has been awhile since we did that tour. (It is second on our list of favorites out of 9). I did pack a suit and took a swim in the Adriatic Sea. I believe it was like day 10 or 11 of the tour. I know it’s probably too late to change but I would definitely go early. We loved Ljubljana. But there is so much more. It’s a great trip.

Day 11 is a free day on Korčula.
If you are inclined, swimming would be available that day.

When I took the tour, the Dubrovnik hotel was in the Lapad area. I stayed a couple extra nights and I went swimming at the beach there.

The water temperature in Dubrovnik today is 25.4 C (77 F). That is pretty nice comfortable for swimming. I think the water was in the low 60s when I went swimming; my tour was in the month of May.

We swam in the pool and the sea in Korcula, and the pool in Dubrovnik.

Take the swimsuit for sure. We bought water shoes there. But you could just swim in the pools and forego water shoes altogether.

It was June, and it was HOT.

It may make a difference as to which hotels your tour is using. We did this tour in mid-May 2025. Hotel La Grisa in Istria had some kind of indoor pool, Hotel Marko Polo in Korcula had beautiful indoor and outdoor pools ( plus as easy walk to the Adriatic) and Hotel Lero in Dubrovnik had an outdoor pool. Several people used the pools at the Marko Polo and Lero and some swam in the Adriatic. I brought water shoes but only wore them once because I didn’t dry them properly. Most people did not swim.
