My husband and I will join the RS tour in late September. We were looking for a hub city to arrive two days early, get over jet lag, sightsee a bit, then get to Ljubljana for the beginning of the tour. We will probably fly from Toronto...so we can get a direct flight..
Any suggestions on the best "hub" cities? Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, other thoughts? And then suggestions for stress free (lol) transfer to Ljubljana? Train, bus, GoOpti(just read about that), best airline? Thanks so much

Venice is fairly close for a hub city and then you could use GoOpti. We used them from Verona to Ljublianja before we took the same tour two years ago. They were reliable and very affordable.

Debbie: You have great airfares and options from/to Toronto. With some outbound random dates the end of September with a return in early October, I found some good connections and airfares using an open jaw itinerary from Toronto to Zagreb and returning from Dubrovnik. We took this tour a few years ago and utilized Zagreb as our arrival city and enjoyed it. Easy transport from the airport to the city and with an adequate train schedule to Ljubljana.
