Nice video. Thanks for sharing. The church shown at the 3:00 mark is well outside Ljubljana proper. And is marvelous.

Thanks. Ljubljana is lovely - hope to get back to visit soon. I enjoyed visiting Plecnik's house in Ljubljana which shows some of his interesting little innovations (he was kind of an inventor too as I recall, not just an architect). But his beautiful architecture is all over Ljubljana and Slovenia.

Fascinating! Some of the city layout is reminiscent of Karlovy Vary , while the architectural style is , indeed , quite different . Thanks for posting this !

Bravo! Thanks for sharing. And this is exactly why Ljubljana is my favorite European city. I left my heart there. Ahhh…

We visited Jože Plečnik House on our first full day. It was a great introduction to this renowned pioneer of 20th century architecture. Not only did he design 10 masterpieces in Ljubljana, but he practiced architecture in Prague. We visited Prague in 2019 the year after Slovenia. We enjoyed a visit to the medieval Prague Castle. Plečnik had an extraordinary talent of combining the old & the new. He added some tender loving care to the castle.

Thank you for posting this! I've been thinking about a few days in Ljubljana this summer (fingers crossed) and am going to take this as a sign!

Ljubljana is an amazing city, absolutely made for the walking explorers. And best of all, for travellers, Slovenia is on the Euro.

I like stopping into Klobasarna for a lunch of Carniolian sausage with mustard, fresh horseradish and a bun (get the extra bun), with either a Lasko or Union as the accompanying beverage.
