Greetings,
We will be taking our first trip to Slovenia in June and I am looking for suggestions. Our kids are ages 12 and 14 and we love to walk/hike. We will be there for only 4 or 5 days (depending on if we use the in between day in Croatia or Slovenia as we will be in Croatia for a few days before driving north). I saw that there will be two Regattas on weekends in Lake Bled, so I'm hoping to make a midweek trip and crossing my fingers that the crowds won't be too bad).
Also wondering about the Julian Alps drive. I know you have to schedule a full day for this. Do you have time to stopping for some hikes or is it mostly driving with some breaks? Also, my daughter has a tendency to get car sick. Would this be too much for someone with this issue?
Any other suggestions and information would be appreciated. We will be staying just outside of Ljubljana and will have a car. Also, what should we be looking for to bring some from our trip (I have heard wine and honey)?
Thanks for your help!
