2 day trip to slovenia

I am planning a 2-3 day trip in the 3rd week of October after attending the Frankfurt Book Fair.
I arrive by train on the morning of 20th October and will leave on 22nd of evening / night.
Please suggest best options.

Thanks

Ljubljana’s old town is very small and walkable. We stopped by the TI and booked one of their free walking tours.
There is an interesting castle with a small cafe on the top tier. You take the funicular up and back down. There is a puppet museum next door to the funicular if that is of interest to you. You can walk along the river where there are many restaurants and shops. There is a famous set of doors on the cathedral which was part of the walking tours. Otherwise there isn’t much else to see.

I’m assuming you’ll arrive in Ljubljana where you can check into a hotel. Ljubljana is a darling place to wander. The next morning, take a bus to Lake Bled and walk along the path that circles the lake. I believe there's a restaurant called Park Restaurant & Cafe on the lake that is famous for it's cream cake.

You have 1 full day of time and 2 partial days. In addition, on the final day you
may have to check out of your hotel in the morning and store your luggage until
your flight.

In addition to Bled and Ljubljana, you can take a public bus to Skocjan Caves and
take the tour to see some amazing cave formations.

But whatever you do on the 3rd day, plan it with plenty of time to spare until
your flight in case of some issues with transportation getting back to Ljubljana.

Just kick it Ljubljana. It’s thoroughly enjoyable and your brief time will fly by. Lake Bled is about the closest/easiest thing to add, but I honestly would only bother if you had another day or two.
