Help! Travelling from Ljubljana to Postojna by train and would really like to see the area's caves and castles but not seeing much in the way of buses to them? They are recommending taxi from the bus station? Anyone done this efficiently and without a car?
Thinking we won't have enough time trying to figure out taxi's at both ends of each destination, and that would be disappointing.
Any suggestions?

Rick's Croatia/Slovenia book notes that from Postojna train station, you can walk 20 minutes or easily take a taxi to the caves. Getting to the castles is a longer, more expensive taxi ride (5.5 more miles of winding road), and you'd have to arrange for a return taxi. Driving in this region is not particularly difficult if you decide to rent a car.
