We'll be in Slovakia this fall, and will be staying in Prešov for at least a few days. We will have a guide for trips to the Dukla Pass and perhaps the wooden churches to the northeast. What should we not miss in Prešov? Any recommendations for good affordable restaurants that might have live music? I do want to visit the wine museum, and perhaps either the salt and/or opal mine sites. Any feedback on whether the salt and opal sites are worthwhile?

After doing some more searching, I have come up with the following potential activities for us in Prešov: the museum of the saltworks (Solivar), the regional museum in Rákoczi’s Palace, the synagogue and Jewish Museum, the wine museum, the co-cathedral of St. Nicholas, the Šariš Gallery, the opal mines, and (for local Šariš beer) the “Presidential Pub” (Prezidentská Piváreň). Any feedback as to which of these might be the most worthwhile?
