Trying to plan our time in the northern Slovakia area. There are so many places I want to see, but we definitely want to see Spis Castle and I'm wondering how much time to allow for that. Is it just an hour or so, or do you need more time there?

I think it will depend on how in depth you want to go. My son and I spent several hours there (maybe 4?), but we explored the museum sections thoroughly, walked everywhere we could in the upper part, walked all around the lower part, and climbed the tower. I will say that we take more time in museums than most people. We didn't hike to or from the town below, so if you wanted to do that it would add time. Also, we were there in late September, so there were no demonstrations or reenactment activities going on.
