We are four adults on a mid-June quick trip into Slovakia en route from Prague to Vienna. We are driving and have a total of two full days with the first one getting to our mountain destination and the second day spent hiking. We thought we would drive to Poprad or Tatranska Lomnica, hike for a day and then head to Vienna the day after. Unfortunately, we don't have more time. Any suggestions of where exactly to stay where we could walk out the door the next morning and quickly get onto a trail? Thanks!
Kate
Good afternoon Kate,
I have heard wonderful things about the Ginger Monkey Hostel in the High Tatras (a friend swears by it). It has almost legendary status as mountain hide-out and I plan to get there myself this summer. I'm not sure if hosteling is your scene, but perhaps it could be worth a look.
I hope that this helps.
Marcus
Hi Marcus, Thanks for your advice on this. The Ginger Monkey Hostel sounds magical and we definitely want to try it when we have more time on our next trip. For this short one we decided to just stay in Tatranska Lomnica.
