How are the roads and the road signs driving in Kosice and around The area? I will be also driving to Velky Folkmar and Medzev. Is it possible to get around using directions from Google maps?

Roads are good. Signs probably won't help you to get to Velky Folkmar or Medzev. I would recommend good Road Atlas of Slovakia (1:100000) or some good map of Kosice and surroundings. Google maps should work and usually they do but it happens now and then that they are not as reliable as we would want. Buy the Road Atlas or the map when you get to Slovakia.

Thanks for your expertise I agree on the maps. Do they have street sign? A map won't help get to Velky Folkmar without thhem

Of course they have directional signs. That's why you will have a map to know which direction to go. Those are too little villages to have signs for them in Kosice. Once you get closer you usually see signs for smaller villages.
