Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone knows if I need to book the bus from Vienna airport to Bratislava ahead of time or if I can just purchase a ticket after I land and get my suitcase.

Hi Tracy,
The buses can fill up. If you have a good idea of when you will arrive I would book the tickets online ahead of time. And I believe they are cheaper.

Are they just as likely to be full going the other way? Three of us will be arriving by train from Poprad, and it will be possible but tight to get the first bus after our arrival at the Bratislava main station, so I hesitate to get tickets in advance. Also, where does one purchase tickets going to the airport: at the Most SNP station, on the bus, only online, ...?

We have taken the flixbus several times from the Bratislava airport to the Vienna airport. It makes several stops on the way and does fill up. Of course it depends on the time of day. I would make reservations at least a few days ahead if you are traveling in the morning or afternoon. You can do it online with your phone. I just made ours for our trip back in July.
