Hello, we have reservations in Bratislava in a few weeks, coming from Budapest. In the past, we've taken the train from Budapest to/from Vienna, and Vienna to/from Bratislava, but not Budapest to Bratislava. Looking at the suggested routing on Google Maps, it's not as straightforward or as easy as I would've guessed. I'm not sure if that is COVID-related or just the way the train tracks happen to be. If someone could recommend the "best" routing to get from Budapest to Bratislava, I'd appreciate it. To the extent it matters, we will be traveling on Tuesday 21 December. Thank you in advance.
Go to Rail Ninja and you will find many options for trains between Hyugati Station in Budapest to Bratislava. Time of travel listed at 2 hours and 23 minutes.
Nyugati station, not Hyugati.
Actually the most direct route would be via boat on the Danube if you can find a way !
Avoid Rail Ninja and other 3rd party resellers, buy your tickets from the company that operates the trains.
