Rick recommends a place in Pitlochry called Robertsons of Pitlochry. The way his book describes it, it's a liquor store where you can taste and buy. Do you all know of other shops like it in other parts of Scotland? We're planning on taking a tour or three of some of the distilleries, but we'd love to find a place where we can sample multiple whiskies to pick up a few unique bottles for friends back home. We're not passing through Speyside and are looking for places where we can drink without one of us being the DD. Our overnight stops include Edinburgh, Porree, Oban, Ullapool, Inverness, Orkney and Queenferry. Obviously, we're already planning on going to Oban, Talisker and the distillery on Orkney, but we're looking for a place where we can try whiskies that might not be able to be found in the states.
