Whisky Distilleries?

We are planning to book a tour of a whisky distillery during our trip in March. I am hoping to find a tour that incorporates an in-depth look at both the process and the history. These are the five distilleries I am looking at. Has anyone here visited these and is able to provide feedback on the quality of the tour?

Glengoyne
Auchentoshan
Glenturret
Deanston

I've been to Auchentoshan. We didn't take a tour but we did do a tasting and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The good thing about that distillery is it's basically on the outskirts of Glasgow so quite easy to get to (tho we had a car with us at the time).

We booked a tour at Glengoyne in summer 2023, while staying in the Loch Lomond area, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Glengoyne was the first of 4 distillery tours on our trip, and we learned so much on this tour that it set up a solid foundation of knowledge for the additional tours we did. The tour group was small enough that we could easily see all the equipment and freely ask questions. Lovely guided tasting at the end of the tour with a beautiful shop.
