My wife and I will arrive in Edinburgh via air from Southampton April 28 late morning. We are planning to stay in Edinburgh April 29 and 30.
- May 1 Edinburgh (or train to Stirling and return to Edinburgh) early evening.
- May 2 Train Edinburgh to Aviemore and stay the night.
- May 3 Visit venues near Aviemore then train to Inverness arriving early evening.
- May 4 Inverness
- May 5 Train Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh, bus to Portree
- May 6, 7 Portree
- May 8 bus to Armadale, ferry to Mallaig, Jacobite Steam Train to Ft. William and stay the night
- May 9 Visit venues near Ft. William then bus (or train via branch line) to Oban and stay night
- May 10 Visit venues near Oban (ferry to Isle of Mull?) then train to Glasgow arriving evening
- May 11, 12, 13 Glasgow
- May 14 Glasgow (or possibly train to Edinburgh or Stirling and return to Glasgow ) early evening and train to Glasgow Airport.
- May 15 Flight to US
