Which Ibis in Edinburgh

I seem to remember people recommending one of the two Ibis hotels over the other in Edinburgh. We'd like someplace quiet but within walking distance of the Royal Mile. Any suggestions as to which Ibis or any other options. We won't have much time in Edinburgh as we need to fly out the following morning but at least we can do that one thing :)

One is on the Royal Mile, the other is on South Bridge, 2 minutes walk to the other one. Not sure it makes much difference in terms of location.

We are staying at the Ibis St. Andrews Square in June. I can't compare the two, obviously, but many people recommended this one to me.

Thank you both. Is the Ibis in St Andrews Sq the one on the Royal Mile?

The St. Andrews Square Ibis is a "Styles", it is a level up from the other two Ibis there, which are "red", as opposed to "green" in Ibis language. Stayed there twice, and if you can score "The Works", the views from the top floor are fantastic. Easy walk across to the Royal Mile. Also less congested on the New Town side.

Perfect, thank you! Just what I was trying to remember :) It looks like we could walk to it from the train station??

Easy walk from Waverly, the two in the old city are longer and up the hill.

We have stayed at many Ibis Hotels in other European countries. They are a basic business class hotel, clean. I will be at the Ibis at St Andrews Square in a few days. It is located near the bus station, a tram stop & Waverly train Station.
