We will have 2 weeks in Scotland. Planning on mid June 2026. We want to see the natural beauty, local pubs and food. Puffins are on my bucket list! We will probably fly into Inverness and will rent a car. Any and all suggestions are welcome!!

You can see Puffins near Skye, which is worth seeing just for the other worldly landscape. Online I found the Scottish Seabird Centre in the East Lothian town of North Berwick. email: [email protected]. They offer boat rides in season to Bass Rock where you can view the Puffins from a distance; bring a telephoto lens. There are other sites, mostly on isolated Islands. There are maps of Puffin locations online. Also look at the National Parks for recreation. Look at www.visitscotland.com as a Gateway site for
transportation, accommodations, sites to visit and hikes. Don't miss Edinburgh! You may find music in pubs to entertain the Outlanders. Castles are what makes it worth going to Scotland. There are many that are located in beautiful natural locations. Bon Voyage!

You CAN see puffins from Skye - by taking a wonderful day trip to Canna from Elgol with either Misty Isle or Bella Jane boat trips.
