Want to tour a working sheep farm

Hello: My husband and I are going to Scotland late August - mid Sept. We will spend the first week in Edinburgh and the final week in Glasgow. We will have about 8-9 days in the highlands (4 on Skye and 2 in Glencoe, 2 in the Morar area & 1 in Balloch). We would love to tour a working sheep farm. Wondering if anyone has done that in any of those areas. We will have a car during our time in the highlands, but not while we are in the cities. Thank you for information and/or ideas. Susan

Rick has recommended Leault Farm. Whenever you google this, Leault is what comes up. So, I don't know if there are other farms that offer tours. I assume it's the dog's that you want to see, right? Aviemore is south of Inverness in the Cairngorms.

My sister and I toured a working farm and had a great visit.

Our visit was set by networking: my sister's employer's veterinary practice had a visiting intern from the Uni. of Edinburg and she had worked for the Scottish farmer.

Researching the dates and locations of the dog trials could be a great trip itinerary item, if you can't find someone who knows someone who has an "in."
