Vikings museums?

Going to Scotland first week of May. Interested in visiting the Kelpies, Isle of Skye and any museums, etc having to do with the Vikings. Any suggestions?

A lot of Museums have a Viking section but the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh has a particularly strong Viking collection.

The other one which may interest you, and is a bit off overseas visitors radar is Vikingar at Largs (an hour by car, train or bus from Glasgow).
I haven't been there as my concentration in Largs is always the Isle of Cumbrae (very worth going to on the frequent ferry), but it has a very good reputation. Too bad you can't be there for the town's annual Viking Festival during the first week of September.

Vikingar! is a good museum, and is sat right next to Largs' Leisure Centre. Plus it is an easy stroll to Nardini's for some ice cream, and a not far from Largs station.
