Update on CalMac ferry crossing timetables

Just an FYI, I went to the CalMac site to check on timetables, and right now their timetables only go through March 2023. Later timetables will be posted in late January but only through June 4th.

From the website: Our summer 2023 timetable will be published in late January. This year bookings will open in a phased approach. Phase 1 will cover the period 31 March - 4 June and will open for bookings shortly after publication of the timetables. Bookings for the period from 4 June will be made available as soon as we are able to do so. Find more details in our customer update.

Also CalMac has an app that will give you status updates about their crossings times, potential delays and so on. Or you can sign up for text messages to get status updates as well. I'm sure many of you know this but just in case. 😊 https://calmac.co.uk/service-status

Mardee, thank you for posting this. We will be on the Isle of Skye starting June 8 for 4 nights. So looks like I have to wait until sometime after January before I can book our ferry crossing.

If you can work from the prior years schedule, you can just go to archive.org and get the schedule of your choice. That can sometimes mislead, but it will get you closer than the winter schedule. My travel planning punchlist always includes getting ferry and attraction schedules for any likely travel the next year. Archive.org is a great planning resource.

jj, the Wayback is good for so much, and it doesn't take much of an excuse for me to go there (although I usually get caught up in archived internet rabbit holes and next thing you know, 4 hours have passed).🤣 I'm okay waiting till the dates are updated, although it might be fun to check it out. Thanks!
