If I am more interested in the history of the grounds versus ghost stories/supernatural tales, which underground tour would you suggest? There are several to choose from, and would appreciate input-Thanks!!
In Edinburgh?
I suggest you add the city to your title.
In Edinburgh, we toured the Real Mary King's Close and it was all about what life was like in Edinburgh at the time. https://www.realmarykingsclose.com/
We also enjoyed Mary Kings Close went twice!! I seem to remember a PBS special about it and it was fascinating about how it was "found" Years later. I think Charles narrated it.
Also recommend Mary Kings Close. It’s been a few years but I don’t recall any ghost stories.
Yes it is famous also for "ghosts" including a little girl who may have died there during the plague and I seem to remember people leaving stuffed animals for her and have a feeling she is really there.
Last summer while in Edinburgh we took the Mercat Historic Underground Tour. Very interesting and well done. Learned quite a bit of Edinburgh history.
