Trotternish peninsula on skye

I am sure I am analyzing this too much, but is there a preferred route to visit the Trotternish Peninsula...

Wanting to do the following:

Hike the Quiraing
Old Man of Storr
Fairy Glen
see Kilt Rock and Lealt Falls

I was reading one book that says they felt the view/approach to the Quiraing start is from going clockwise from Uig vs Staffin.

Trying to decide if we should head up the west side and hit Fairy Glen and then Quiraing and then hit Man of Storr and Kilt Rock after.

Basically going from Edinbane..should we go counter Clockwise or Clockwise.
I hear the parking lot for Quiraing gets busy, so if we head there first should we still stop at Fairy Glen on the way etc.

Would love thoughts on PLANNING this day out.

It wasn't until I started following this forum that I learned that people were worried about this. I think it's beautiful no matter which way you go. When I was visiting Skye for the photo workshop, we went Counter Clockwise. But I'm not sure if that was for views or because it would get us to our photo stop at the right time. : )

Stacey, we went counter clockwise. The view up to Quiraing was pretty awesome as you approach going "up" the road. I also think for me I was happy to have get the "drive" up the road over with early on, it is a bit daunting but very much a "must do". Now to give you the other side of the argument, if time runs short and you need to cut a part of the visit short, it would easier to cut short Kilt Rock, that can be a quick visit....Storr not so much, but also it is pretty cool without having to go real deep into the hike....for us the parking at the Fairy Glen was more of a problem than Quiraing but we were there in October. You are pretty much just winging it for Fairy Glen parking as there is no "formal" lot as you'll find at most spots over there...the turn to Fairy Glen is also tuff to find so do your research there.....http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/fairyglen I guess I would vote counter clockwise but dont dilly dally at Kilt Rock or Storr if you are planning a one day trip to those four spots..it is so awesome over there I am envious for your awe to come!!
