traveling on Delta through Schiphol to Glasgow, with short transfer time, is it possible?

hello, all,
Myself and a friend are traveling next May 2024, on Delta from Detroit to Schiphol, then transferring to a KLM flight for the hop to Glasgow.
My problem/question is: we only have a layover time in Schiphol of 1 hr. 5 mins.
If everything is on time, can we make that transfer?

We are both in good shape, but in our 70s, so we are not going to be running through the airport!
I don't know what to expect as far as security/customs, etc., for transfers like this, either.
Should I just try to rebook that part of the flight?

thanks for your time, and any advice you have!
best regards,
Jean

You will be making a non-Schengen to non-Schengen transfer. So all you have to do is walk to the next gate, no security, no passport control, nothing.

Thank you so much for your quick reply!
Sounds too good to be true. :-)

But I am very relieved to hear that!

thanks,
Jean

I did the same route in May of this year and as Dutch traveler said, you do not have to do anything. Just head to the departing gate and you’re good to go. 😊

This is the first posting I have done on a Rick Steves forum, and I must say that I am so pleased and grateful for the quick and helpful responses! I am impressed, and thank you!
Mardee, sounds like your trip is similar to ours, at least in the beginning. Did you find Glasgow (or elsewhere) to be very crowded at that time of year? And how was your weather?
