For those of us who will be in Scotland in August, just a note of advice regarding the Puffins day tours. The Puffins will have migrated by then. In the words of my Scottish friend "don't get sucked in to seeing them on a tour, as they will have migrated at least a week earlier." Just thought I'd pass it on.
Even if you will be in Scotland during puffin "season" and book a tour to see them, there is a chance that your tour will be cancelled due to bad weather. That's what happened to me, less than 24 hours before my tour was to begin. Still waiting for my refund two weeks later.
That is also helpful information! Thank you.
