Travel from Edinburgh to Glasgow Airport

We are finishing our tour in Edinburgh this summer and I'm considering booking a return flight out of Glasgow back to the U.S. Is it easy/practical/possible to wake up in Edinburgh and catch a 2 PM flight out of Glasgow? We won't have our own car, so I'll have to take a train or bus. Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks,
Marshall

It'll take a couple of hours. There's one change which I'm pretty sure is at Glasgow Buchanan. Figure about fifteen bucks.

Turnhouse is a much easier airport than Abbotsinch.

According to Citylink coaches Ed is spot on. £13.40 GBP, 2h15 minutes, change at Buchanan Street. I would not take the train as that probably would involve more changes.

Central Scotland has two hubs - Edinburgh and Glasgow, and crossing between them without a car is not that easy. You are probably better off flying out of Edinburgh.

Yes, this is absolutely doable. You can take the train from Waverly Station in Edinburgh to Glasgow. There is a bus from the train that will take you straight to the airport. I've done it. It can be done without stress. :)

I have frequently done this and it is no problem at all. The bus from Edinburgh bus station to Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow run frequently as do the buses from Buchanan to Glasgow airport. Both airports are small and easy to negotiate.

And to make things easier in the future there is a potential rail link to Glasgow Airport. Wouldn't it be nice to have rail / subway links for NYC airports.
