What are the simplest and most convenient ways to travel without a car from Edinburgh airport to Glasgow city center?
Thanks
Hi, rflan51,
The simplest way to get from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow city centre would be to take the Scottish Citylink Air Glasgow 900 bus, which you'd pick up at stop D at EDI. The buses run about every 20 to 30 minutes, and the drive takes about one hour. The buses terminate at the Buchanan Street bus station, which is convenient to Glasgow city centre. From there, you can take a taxi to your final destination. Current one way fare is 16 pounds 80 pence. If you are planning to return to EDI via that same route, you could purchase an open ended return ticket. Your first suitcase and carry on are free. There is a small charge for a second suitcase.
Enjoy Glasgow!
Best wishes,
Mike (Auchterless)
It is the AIR service in the daytime, it's only the 900 in the wee small hours of the morning. The AIR runs every 20 minutes.
There is also an hourly 902 route, which you don't want, it goes round the houses serving lots of villages and towns on the way, taking 2 hours 8 minutes for the journey.
