I used the Rome2Rio app to find travel from Aberdeen to Drum Castle. I discovered there are no buses going to Drum Castle on Saturday, September 30. I’m not renting a car, so is there another way to get there other than by taxi? I also checked the Omio app and it doesn’t show buses going that route.

That sounds very odd to me.
Have you looked at the Traveline Scotland website?
I don't travel by bus but as far as I know the 201 from Aberdeen to Braemar would stop at Drumoak opposite the Drum Castle Road End on the A93. Journey is about 30 minutes and costs about £5.50 single one way. More for a return I guess.
