My husband and I will be arriving in Glasgow but staying in Stirling. I have checked Traveline Scotland but am a bit confused as to the easiest travel route, bus, train, taxi or all three! Thank you for your input!
I would catch the bus to the train station--Glasgow Queen St--and then take a train directly to Stirling. There are lots of trains, so if you are arriving from the US, I would just buy a ticket when you get there. It looks like it's about 8 Pounds. Here's the link to ScotRail. Ask at the information desk as you come out of baggage claim and they will direct you to the bus. You can buy your ticket at the Info Desk if you want to.
Many thanks! That is helpful.
If you do a search on a railway booking site you will be given a route of a bus to Paisley and train to Glasgow Central and a walk to Queens St. This is much less convenient than the bus as described above so ignore it.
