Train reccomend

I’m traveling from London to Edinburgh, then to Glasgow, and then back to London. What are your recommendations for which train line to use?

Well for the first sector you would use the London to Edinburg line and then for your second trip the Edinburg to Glasgow line. And so on.
But if your question really is about where to buy tickets: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

From London to Edinburgh use LNER from Kings Cross (or Lumo trains). From Edinburgh to Glasgow use one of the 4 Scotrail routes- it doesn't really matter which.
Two go to Queen Street, and two to Central, but the two stations are so close it is irrelevant which line you use, unless you are in a tearing rush- if so the line via Falkirk High is the fastest but also the busiest.
From Glasgow Central to London Euston use Avanti West Coast. There is also one train a day at before 7am from Glasgow Central to Kings Cross but it takes much longer than Avanti to Euston.

For the long distance routes buy Advance Fares a few weeks ahead, but not the 3 months often quoted here. Two to three weeks is ample. For Glasgow to Edinburgh just buy on the day. No price advantage to booking ahead and no reserved seats. If travelling before 30 June off peak fares are valid all day.
