Train or Bus from Glasgow Airport to Oban?

There is no direct train or bus service from Glasgow Airport to Oban. You'd have to make your way in to central Glasgow first. The number 500 express bus costs eight pounds. It will drop you off at Queen Street train station if you want to take the train, or Buchanan Street bus station if you want to take the bus.

CityLink bus from Buchanan Street to Oban takes about three hours, and will set you back about 20 pounds.

Train from Queen Street station takes just over three hours, and costs about 26 pounds.

The choice is yours. Personally, I'd pay the extra six pounds and take the train. The ride will be smoother, there's generally food service on board, and the scenery is better.
