Hi - we headed to Scotland in late April. We will fly into London, then take the train to Edinburgh. On the way back, we'd like to spend a couple of days in York. The other option is to go back to London and then explore Bath or Windsor. However, those seem like easier trips from London and could be done on a different trip. Is the stop in York something others have done, and if so which train and which station? Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
LNER operates the trains between London-York-Edinburgh. The station in London is Kings Cross. The station in York is York. The station in Edinburgh is Edinburgh Waverly.
Lumo also operates between London and Edinburgh but they don't stop in York.
Windsor is an easy day trip from London. Bath can be done in a day but most people suggest at least one night if not longer.
