Hello fellow travelers. I received a strange request and was wondering if any of you can shed some light on why. I am traveling to Scotland in May with some friends and we have booked a tour from Inverness to the Orkney Islands. Our tour company has requested all of our names, nationalities, and genders saying it is required under UK regulations. I do not mind providing them with the information, but I have never been asked this for prior tours. Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone know the practicalities of why this information is required?
