Tips for a Relaxed Scotland Itinerary?

Hello everyone,

We have planned a trip to Scotland in August, but we aren't particularly outdoorsy and prefer to avoid treacherous drives. We would love your advice on how to adjust our itinerary to suit our preferences better. Here is our current plan:

8/4: Edinburgh
8/5: Edinburgh
8/6: Edinburgh
8/7: Edinburgh → Stirling
8/8: Stirling → Oban
8/9: Oban
8/10: Oban → Skye
8/11: Skye
8/12: Skye → Inverness
8/13: Inverness
8/14: Inverness → Aberfeldy
8/15: Aberfeldy → Edinburgh
8/16: Edinburgh

We appreciate any suggestions for alternative destinations or activities that involve less outdoor adventure and more relaxed, scenic experiences. Additionally, if there are any routes or destinations that involve easier, more straightforward drives, we would love to hear about them.

Thank you so much for your help!

It looks nice and relaxed. You are aware of The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh in August, right? So start early on reservations for Edinburgh and Skye. :)

You aren't allowing yourselves very long on Skye and in August may find that accommodation wants 3 nights...

I'm assuming you have already sorted out what you are wanting to do/s/see/achieve in each of the different places?

On your way from Edinburgh to Stirling or from Aberfeldy back to Edinburgh, do try and include the Kelpies (quick stop to view them) and also the Falkirk wheel, even if you don't have chance to do a boat ttrip on it. It is an amazing piece of modern engineering.
