Tipping in Scotland

I am taking two 3 day tours with Rabbies tour company in Scotland. I never know what an acceptable tip amount should be for the guide and driver. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

We were on two Rabbies tours in June, and of the Americans, Canadians, Germans and New Zealanders on the bus, only the Americans found it necessary to tip.

FYI--on Rabbies tours, the guide is the driver. The vehicle only holds 16 people.

Tipping isn't as common in Scotland as in the USA.

I’m doing a Mad Max tour from Bath today and I don’t plan to tip at all. The cost of the tour is enough. I would do the same with any tour.

Coach trips are one area where the norm doesn't apply regarding to tipping in UK
It's been common for a long time to tip the driver on day trips by coach
I did volunteer driving of a mini bus for 15 years and it was not unusual to get a considerable tip after a day out with a group of pensioners
