Timing - Jacobite Train

We are going from Glasgow to ft william to Inverness, all via train, staying 1 night in ft william, and have already bkd air and lodging. The tickets for the round trip Jacobite train were sold out so I routed us from Glasgow to maillag and bought Jacobite tix 1 way to ft w. Here's my question: there are 40 minutes btwn the glasgow-to-maillag arrival and Jacobite departure. Is that doable?

Mallaig station is dead-end station at the end of a single track line. It only has two platforms.
See plan here. Hover over the plan for photos: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations-and-destinations/stations-made-easy/mallaig-station-plan

There is no way the train could depart before the incoming train arrives, because it is single track. And as you can see, the two trains will stop at the two platforms all of 10 steps from each other.
I think 40 minutes will be easy, time for photos as well.
