Hi all,
I have gotten a variety of answers to this question on other sites, so I thought I would post here as well and see what the opinions are.
My husband and I will be traveling to Scotland in early May and have a flight from Philadelphia to Edinburgh, through Heathrow. It's considered a single through ticket, no changing airlines or collecting luggage in Heathrow, but we do have to go through immigration. We will arrive at Heathrow on Wednesday morning, May 9th, at around 6:50 am, on British Airways flight #66. Departing connecting flight (at this time) leaves from the same terminal (5). My husband takes this same first flight (#66) six or eight times a year and (barring the one time there was a delay while police arrested a woman on his flight/not sure for what!) will get in on time or a bit early. And that's arriving on a Friday or Saturday morning.
Given all of this, what are some best guess times to get through everything and to the next gate to get to our connecting flight for Edinburgh? I know there are many things that can go wrong, but what has your experience been on connecting like this? Both bad AND good! And any suggestions to try and make it all flow smoother?
TIA!
