Ticket Reservations, Misc. Q.

Most places recommend advance reservations. Since you’ll be there during the main tourist season, I’d heed the advice. If you’re interested in the Tatoo, by all means, go. Don’t go just because you think you should or somebody said it’s a must see.

Basic advice would be that if advance reservations are available it would be wise to take advantage. It's the absolute height of the tourist season. We visited the Castle out of season, but reservations were still a must and the line was very long for those without bookings.

Dinner reservations are either a good idea or absolutely essential, depending on the town or city in question.

ATT cellular data still the same? Our last trip before Covid seems like there was no charge receiving texts.

Check ATT's website for international coverage. I think you will find that their costs have increased.

We will be with RS Heart of Scotland Tour beginning August 21st. We have booked Edinburgh Tattoo tickets (had tickets for last year's cancelled Tattoo) and are very excited about it. Not having it the past two years, it promises to be spectacular. Also, in Edinburgh the Fringe Festival is also happening and there are dozens and dozens of events going on with that that you can reserve in advance.
