This is Scotland

Hi all,

I saw this video from Visit Scotland and watched in the Columbus Circle Subway stop while waiting for the A Train. It made me want to sign up for another trip tomorrow. I spotted a lot of places I had been and experiences I have had including the Western Isles, the Cuillins, Eilean Donan Castle, what looks like some good whisky, lots of fiddle music, pipes, Skye, Callinish Stones, and so much more.

And there was a new idea or two--whitewater rafting in Perth??? They missed out the Northern Isles completely, and there wasn't much on the Borders, but overall, it's pretty good.

Do you spot anything you want to do on your trip? Can you recommend anything that they missed?

Here's the link.

Hi Pam

I'll have a look when I have signal.

Curious - was an ad playing the video in the Columbus Circle station, or is that just where you had signal?

There is free WiFi in quite a few of the subway stations in NYC these days. It's transit wireless. Once connected you need to click to connect and agree etc. It's one way the MTA is making long waits and crowded trains more tolerable. But as a friend of mine hollered one day--JUST ADD MORE TRAINS! :)

I think that is an appeal and cry that is international in scope.

Pamela,

That's an awesome video and also made me want to sign up for another trip tomorrow. Getting back to Scotland has been on my mind quite often lately, for some reason.

Thanks so much for sharing the fun video. I want to do all of it, even the things I've done before! It's made me even more excited for my upcoming trip back to Scotland in May. I will be sharing this with my mother, who is going with me this time. It will be my third trip to Scotland but it's her first time, and this will give her an idea of what to expect.

Wow, that was great! I love Scotland. I am going to have to pass on the "highland fling," but would happily do pretty much anything else or go anywhere in Scotland. I too am surprised they left the Orkneys and Shetland Islands out.

Thanks for the video. I am going on the RS Scotland Tour and have enjoyed reading all your posts about Scotland. You seem to have a vast knowledge of the place. Thanks.

Lovely video, thanks so much for sharing! We would love to go back and explore the Highlands more in depth, especially the Isle of Skye. My husband is also really interested in seeing the Orkney Islands. We loved everything about Scotland and can forsee many more happy trips there! What a great video to help hold us over!
