This morning there has been an empty coaching stock (ecs) trip from Carnforth to Fort William- transferring compliant train cars for the 2nd, afternoon, train north.
The intent is to commence operation of the 2nd train later this month, date to be announced.
New bookings for the train (both trips) remains suspended.
Update- The afternoon train starts operation on Monday 17 June- although bookings have not yet been re-opened.
Times at Glenfinnan Mallaig bound are at 1056 and 1331, and Fort William bound at 1519 and 1808
There is also a spare train path booked (although not currently planned to be used) for a daily evening short journey Fort William to Arisaig at 1743 with a call at Glenfinnan from 1825 to 1905 (to pass the service train from Mallaig to Fort William) and 2041.
That path may be used at short notice.
