I stumbled on this final publication of The Angry Corrie. It may be old hat to everyone else here, but I found the whole thing fascinating. I haven't finished the whole thing but it's a good read for Scotland aficionados. SO much I don't know about Scotland!
Thank you for providing the link. I was unaware of The Angry Corrie, and I found one thing particularly amusing in the introductory remarks:
… frequent comparisons of utterly different things that sounded alike ( … cycle-paths and psychopaths …
A few bicycle paths around here, as well as some extremely popular mountain bike trails, do seem to have some pedaling psychopaths among the “normal” people. Sharing a bike path seems to be a foreign idea to some folks.
Hi, jjgurley,
I had a quick look at your topic title, and I thought it was about Roy Williamson or Ronnie Browne!
Now I'll have to re-read Karen Williamson's book about her dad, and Ronnie Browne's autobiography, That Guy fae The Corries!
Seriously, though, the magazines look like a good read. Thank goodness they're archived. Just from checking a couple out, it appears that there's a good bit of humor in addition to route descriptions.
Thanks for the tip!

I also immediately thought of The Corries folk group.
They were definitely not angry though!
They were my first introduction to Scottish music as a student in Edinburgh in the early 70’s.
Have loved their music ever since….it makes me homesick for Scotland.
Many videos on YouTube. 💖
